Pain

Physical pain, if untreated can become a serious ailment.

There are 2 categories of pain:

  1. Acute pain
  2. Chronic Pain.

Acute pain is caused by injury and usually lasts for a couple of weeks and subsides gradually with treatment. Acute pain if not treated turns into chronic pain which does not subside even after the injury has healed.

Sedentary lifestyle, obesity and weak muscular frame can also cause pain in the body such as back pain joints and other bone defects as well. Causes include ligament or muscle strains or sprains, muscle spasms, or arthritis or swollen joints. Yoga, as a stretching exercise can help relieve pain to a great extent by following supervised techniques and postures. Also, several combinations of therapies can help in managing pain.
